Frequently asked question on cups
I want cups laminated with my fabrics: can you do it ?
It is something that we can do technically, but we are not willing to offer this service any longer, since customer fabrics can bring huge troubles when laminating with foams. We are sorry not being able to offer anymore this service to customes, unless we get a signed customer declaration freeing us from any trouble should come from fabric delamination (often due to the presence on fabric surface of softeners or Teflon™-based chemicals, or from fabric made mainly from cotton – not moldable)Cups can be dry cleaned ?
No: solvents can dilute the glues, destroying cups.Cups can be ironed ?
No. Foams collapse with pressure and heat.I want a new design
Send us a sample (scissor-cut by hand is OK) to let us search into our shape database: our sample will be sent to you in a matter of few days.I have my grading rules
We often receive 2D grading request for a 3D item such a molded cup. This gets us to balance the customer request with what really can be obtained, with many samplings (and waste of time) before approaching to the solution that is seldom what initially conceived. For this reason, we ask for stamped (or signed) prototype for any size needed, obtained from our cups. We do not accept request based on a grading rule, only physical samples.I want a new mold shape
We can develop new molds upon Customer request and specification: contact us, and we will be glad to put our experience at your service !Are molded cups reversible (inside out)?
Sure, considering a slight depth difference between the normal and reversed state of the cup (some kind of folds can arise must be considered as possible and accepted). Is unnecessary however, since our cutting system always cuts right & left cups.I need some notches on cup perimeter
Just let us know where you need them: submit either a drawing or a sample.I want my special coding?
No problem. We can label your cups with your code (or even with your labels).Molded cups can withstand machine wash?
No. The only washing supported is delicate hand wash in lukewarm water, no squeezing. This is a “B” or “C” cup ?
It depends on the shape of underwire used in conjunction : with the same cup a “closed” shape of underwire makes a larger cup size (ex.: cup D) , while a “opened” shape gets smaller size (ex.: cup C). This since a “closed” underwire tends to make the cup deeper, making suitable for an higher cup category. We remind you that cup category (not the size) is meant to indicate the difference between maximum chest measurement and the measure taken below the breast: higher the difference, bigger will be the breast volume compared to the rib cage. The cup category is widely expressed with letters and measurement criteria is usually done first taking maximum breast measure (circumference) then taking rib cage measurement (under breast). With those two measures one can safely find a good approximation of the bra size needed.
