When a special finishing is needed ( i.e.: fringes) using the same fabrics used for the bra or swimming suit, ultrasonic technology can help to get continuous tapes with any motif you can think of, without the troubles from delamination, dyeing lots, yellowishing.
Just use your existing (synthetic ) fabrics !

Ultrasonic laces frequently asked questions

Can be made on any fabric ?

Yes, provided that its fibers (see next point) are compatible with ultrasonic process. Usually best results are obtained with medium/high weights (80-100 gr/mq and more).

Can be made with any fiber ?

No. Cellulose-based natural or artificial fibers (cotton / rayon / linen / ecc..) are NOT thermoplastic, therefore cannot be welded with ultrasonic machinery.

Can you use laminated fabrics ?

We need to see your sample.

My fabric tends to roll up itself: is it a problem ?

We need to check it , but surely fabric consumpion will grow. It can be solved sometimes cutting larger ribbons of fabrics.

My fabric is transfer printed / embroidered / flocked / … : can be used ?

If fabric has irregular thickness, could be not possible to use it. 6. How much fabric is needed for testing ? One square meter allows us to make all the tests needed.

Fabric can change shade ?

No.

Can you employ my pre-cut fabrics ?

No, but we can use lasers to “lace” them. Contact us for more information.

I will send you fabrics for production: there is something I must do?

Fabric must be supplied as rolls with 40 mt. minimum length and without cuts ( we can tolerate sewn junctions ). Do not use any kind of metal clips that could damage the ultrasonic machinery. Again, avoid glued junctions, adhesive tape, labels, that could stick to fabric paths, causing production stops that we could then charge you. Since production is made on a continuous system, rolls of fabric will be cut “as received”: We cannot divide different colors if supplied sewn together on the same roll of fabric. Again, in case of double layers of fabric, we cannot assure that prints on the fabric will be perfectly aligned on both sides of ribbon. If the fabric will be supplied as pre-cut ribbons, narrower than needed, we won’t be able to use it and we will send it back to sender. Jdeal-Form will also refuse to work on defective fabrics, or treated with chemicals that inhibit the regular production (ex.: anti flame treatments). If fabrics supplied are different from those sampled, we could be forced to change pricing (with immediate notification to the customer, waiting its permission to continue production).

I want to make a production with a custom design of lace: what I must do ?

Send us a 1:1 drawing of the final product and a sample of the fabric to be used. We will supply a price offering for the cutting tool, that will be used for your firm only. It takes about 20 days to make a new cliché, Drawings and tools will remain property of Jdeal-Form srl.
